Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has promoted Michelle Tingley to the newly created role of brand training manager.
The new position will showcase and educate the trade on ‘The Olsen Way’ covering the small-ship operator and its guiding principles.
Tingley was formerly the company’s specialist sales account manager. She has been with the company for six years.
As brand training manager, she will deliver training to the trade, working closely with agencies at regional, branch and homeworking levels and alongside Fred Olsen’s dedicated account managers and trade marketing team.
Tingley said: “I am delighted to become Fred Olsen’s dedicated brand training manager. The role will complement all the great work the sales and marketing team are already doing, while allowing us to delve deeper with our trade partners to showcase what makes Fred Olsen special, what we offer and help them to match us to their customers who will want to return to us – and them – time and again.

A-Rosa River Cruises has hired Sharon Wilson as its new regional sales manager for the north.
The move comes as the river operator looks to bolster its trade engagement ahead of the launch of A-Rosa Sena in May 2022 and plans to relaunch its Premium All-Inclusive Product for 2023.
Wilson has experience with a number of travel companies including Jet2Holidays and Royal Caribbean, where she spent more than 25 years in various roles including key account manager and senior training executive.
Stephen Joyner, head of sales at A-Rosa UK and Ireland said: “We are delighted to welcome Sharon to our UK team at this hugely important time for A-Rosa.

Danny Giles is to join luxury expedition operator Ponant as the company’s business development manager for the north, Scotland and Ireland.
Giles has previously held roles with Riviera Travel, Silversea and Hurtigruten.
He starts with Ponant from February 21 and will report into Nabil Maillard, the line’s sales director for the UK, Ireland and developing markets.
Vladislav Saveliev will continue as Ponant’s sales manager for the south and midlands, while Stephen Winter remains international sales director for the UK and EMEA.
